Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault and Battery Charges Dropped

In Somerville District Court this month a hard working contractor was arrested and charged with several violent crimes, most notably Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault and Battery. The government contended that several eyewitnesses saw him brutally attack and assault a woman and attempt to kidnap her. The government was seeking extensive jail time.

Attorney Brant argued that these witnesses did not see the complete picture of what happened that in fact most of what they “saw” was harmless. The judge agreed with Attorney Brant and did not send his client to jail.
